Next Saturday, December 8, I’ll be at the East Bay Alternative Book and Zine Fest. I’ll be showing and selling my latest creations of zines, dream boxes and home-grown sketchbooks all mostly made from recycled and found materials.
Please take a look at the East Bay Alternative Book and Zine Fest web site for details, as there are a lot of great exhibitors, workshops and fun stuff. Not only is this a unique venue to meet hundreds of creators and see their work, but if you are shopping for special one-of-a-kind treasures for the holidays, this is the place to go.
Hope to see you there.

This weekend I’ll be exhibiting and selling my new work at the San Francisco Zine Fest at the County Fair Building in Golden Gate Park. Besides some of my familiar zine titles, stationery and sketchbooks, my new work goes beyond the printed ‘zine. I’ve been creating small dioramas I call “dream boxes” inspired by dreams and symbolic imagery that connects body to soul. Hope to see you at the show.
This fall I’ll be exhibiting my new show. Stay tuned for details.
The dreams are continuing and evolving. I’m having an art show in May 2012 with new little dream boxes, dioramas and collage pieces. I haven’t been posting many images of my art in a long time due to the success of my professional organizing business that grew leaps and bounds in 2011. Most of my attention has been there, but I’m making sure to keep the dreams–all of them, alive.
Sweet Dreams Tarot, January 2011
I created a set of 33 cards to create my own version of the tarot assigning words and images that have meaning to me. Using the color pink, I altered Dover clip art images and used them in card format to convey what I sense are the hands I am dealt. Below is one of the three layouts I created, sized at 15X20 inches. Currently showing and for sale at Big Umbrella Studios/Gallery in San Francisco.
